I currently live just outside of St. Cloud, Minnesota, about an hour or so northwest of Minneapolis. Originally from Connecticut, I've also lived in Rhode Island and New York (Upstate--Utica and Syracuse), moving to Minnesota 10 years ago.
I'm a programmer, currently doing contract work for an insurance company in The Cities. "The Cities" --meaning the twin cities, Minneapolis and St Paul. That means I'm in the car for over 2 hours each day. I enjoy driving, except for the traffic, suicidal/homicidal drivers, and the perpetual construction construction zone that is 94 east of Maple Grove. Everything gets squished down to 2 narrow lanes in each direction so that someday we may have 3 beautiful wide lanes in each direction. I have glimpsed the sparkling white ribbons of concrete through the dust but I do not believe that I will ever set a tire in the Promised Land. Perhaps my children shall, if I had any, which I don't.
